Coming Soon: Atlanta Cup 2025 at Gas South Arena

Atlanta’s love affair with tennis is about to get a major upgrade. On December 6, Gas South Arena will host the inaugural Atlanta Cup, featuring four of the sport’s biggest names in Duluth for an exhibition match that promises to be both thrilling competition and pure entertainment.

Tennis Stars Coming to Atlanta

The lineup reads like a fan’s dream: current world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will face four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in a women’s match. Atlanta’s own Ben Shelton takes on the charismatic Nick Kyrgios on the men’s side. Together, these athletes represent everything fans love about modern tennis: raw power, magnetic personalities and the ability to deliver unforgettable moments.

For Sabalenka, this marks her debut in the city and a historic moment! She’s the first No. 1-ranked female player to compete here since Lindsay Davenport in 1997. Her rivalry with Osaka, built on contrasting styles and mutual respect, has produced some of the sport’s most compelling matches in recent years. With eight Grand Slam titles between them, their December showdown promises high-stakes drama even in an exhibition setting.

Why the Local Tennis Legacy Matters

This event positions Atlanta as a unique place in American tennis! The metro area boasts one of the country’s largest community associations through USTA Atlanta, and the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) has been connecting players since 1934. Now in its 91st year, ALTA remains the nation’s largest community league, proving that local passion for the sport runs deeper than most cities can claim.

The Atlanta Cup, produced in partnership with USTA and ALTA, aims to become an annual signature showcase. After the Atlanta Open wrapped its 14-year ATP Tour run in 2024, this new event fills a void while honoring a rich legacy. It’s a chance to reconnect with elite-level competition while showcasing what makes the community special: enthusiasm, diversity and an unmatched commitment to the game.

How to Get Atlanta Cup Tickets

The match kicks off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Gas South Arena in Duluth. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. For updates and additional information, visit www.TheAtlantaCup.com or follow @TheAtlantaCup on Facebook, Instagram and X.
